Job summary

REALIGN LLC is seeking a Senior SDET to lead API testing and automation using REST Assured and Karate for backend services. You will develop automation frameworks, implement CI pipelines, and collaborate in an Agile environment to ensure scalable, reliable software.

The role requires hands-on experience with Java/JavaScript, Docker, Git, and testing tools, with emphasis on building robust test strategies and integrating with CI/CD processes in a dynamic IT setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience of quality assurance and testing as well as developing automation frameworks and automated tests.
• 3 years programming experience in JavaScript, Node JS, Java.
• 2 years’ experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience with backend testing using REST Assured and Karate.
• Experience with testing tools like REST Assured and Supertest.
• Jira preferred for application life cycle management.
• Hands-on CI setup with TeamCity, Gitlab or comparable solution.
• Git version control experience.
• Familiarity with JUnit and TestNG.
• Familiarity with Docker containerization.
• Ability to articulate technical challenges and scalable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the architectural design process for Internet and eCommerce projects.
• Test web services using SOAP UI or similar tools.
• Understand queues, topics, JSON and XML concepts.
• Participate in all phases of web services system testing.
• Develop and maintain QA procedures, processes and best practices.
• Create and maintain test plans and data from functional/non-functional requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve test automation efficiency.
• Contribute to test automation scripting standards and reviews.
• Understand SOA architecture and write automation scripts.
