Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the Release Integration Testing function for AI Inference Core. You will design automated tests, validate complex AI systems, and own integration testing across frameworks, runtime, compiler, and hardware to ensure production readiness.

This role requires hands-on engineering, strong software development, debugging, and collaboration with SDETs and infrastructure teams to improve release

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and professional testing background.
• Experience designing automated tests and test frameworks for complex systems.
• Proficient in Python or Go with production-quality code.
• Ability to debug failures across multiple components and analyze logs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation infrastructure.
• Experience with distributed systems, runtime, kernels, or low-level software concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to validate AI inference software across multiple components and system layers.
• Independently own integration testing and qualification activities for complex inference-core features.
• Develop and execute end-to-end, integration, regression, and system-level tests across AI frameworks, runtime, compiler, kernels, infrastructure, and hardware.
• Analyze results to assess readiness and provide evidence-based recommendations for release qualification.
• Investigate and debug cross-stack failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement automated tests to prevent regressions.
• Build and enhance internal tooling for test automation, diagnostics, dashboards, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve test coverage and support coordinated feature rollouts.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and debugging sessions.
