Job summary

Cerebras Systems is seeking a hands-on SDET Technical Lead to establish and lead Release Integration Testing for AI Inference Core. You will define the quality strategy across pre-release to post-release, coordinating across AI frameworks, runtime, compiler, kernels, and hardware to surface risks and guide decisions.

This technical leadership role involves designing test architecture, mentoring engineers, and writing automation as you own the integration strategy and readiness gates.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and programming in Python or Go.
• Proven technical leadership in software quality or release engineering.
• Experience designing automation and test architecture for distributed AI software.
• Ability to diagnose cross-stack failures and drive issues to resolution.
• Knowledge of risk-based testing and release readiness.
• Able to influence multiple teams without formal authority.
• Strong communication under high-pressure releases.

Responsibilities

• Define the Release Integration Testing strategy, engagement criteria, ownership boundaries, entry and exit criteria, coverage expectations, and escalation thresholds.
• Engage early on high-risk inference changes; identify dependencies and interaction risks across runtime, host, device programming, memory, scheduling, model execution, infrastructure, and hardware.
• Own the inference-path readiness gate by reviewing evidence and approving integration readiness before release entry.
• Lead integrated inference E2E validation across features and the cloud-to-wafer stack; add risk-based scenarios to release regression.
• Improve master and release-branch stability with health metrics, failure classification, dashboards, and pipelines.
• Lead first-pass regression and rollout triage; drive RCA and plan rollout across products and releases.
• Mentor SDETs and engineering teams; advance automation, diagnostics, probes, and test planning.
