Job summary

Cerebras Systems seeks a hands-on SDET Technical Lead to establish and lead Release Integration Testing within AI Inference Core. You will define the quality strategy across pre-release to post-release, collaborating across frameworks, runtime, compiler, and hardware to make release risk visible and actionable.

This is a technical-leadership role involving architecture design, debugging, mentorship, and hands-on software and automation work with a focus on ensuring robust, production-ready

Qualifications

• Strong software-engineering fundamentals in Python or Go.
• Experience designing automation and test architecture for distributed systems or AI software.
• Demonstrated leadership in software quality, test infra, or release engineering.
• Ability to break down cross-stack failures and drive issues to resolution.
• Knowledge of risk-based testing, release readiness, and quality metrics.
• Excellent communication and judgment under high-pressure release scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Define RIT strategy, entry/exit criteria, and coverage expectations for AI Inference Core.
• Lead high-risk inference changes and identify dependencies across runtime, host, device programming, memory, and hardware.
• Own the inference-path readiness gate and document evidence for integration readiness.
• Lead integrated inference E2E validation across features and cloud-to-wafer stack.
• Improve master and release-branch stability with health metrics and dashboards.
• Lead first-pass regression, rollout triage, and RCA for missed coverage at the right layer.
• Mentor SDETs and teams; advance automation, diagnostics, and roadmap test planning.
