Job summary

Octave, a mission-critical software company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, SDET. You will design, implement, and execute automated tests, including regression, performance, and end-to-end scenarios, aligned with our product architecture.

Collaborate with QA and development teams to file defects, enhance automation frameworks, mentor juniors, and translate test results into actionable quality metrics for stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of software automation and testing experience.
• Experience with Microsoft-based testing tools and AI-enabled testing approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute automated tests including regression, performance, load, and scenarios from test plans.
• Analyze automated test results and communicate insights and metrics to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to identify gaps and prioritize automation backlog.
• Perform functional testing to validate features and automation accuracy.
• Improve test strategies, frameworks, and processes to raise product quality.
• Mentor junior team members and share QA best practices.
• Document test plans, automation workflows, and execution results.
• Ensure applications meet customer and business requirements; stay current with automation technologies.
