Job summary
Opiniion is seeking a Senior SDET in Lehi, Utah, to own test strategy and automation across our evolving SaaS platform. This engineering role focuses on production-grade code to build and maintain robust frameworks for fast, reliable releases.

Qualifications
- 7+ years in software development or test automation with engineering depth
- Proficient in at least one test-automation language (Python/Java/TypeScript)
- Experience with modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
- Experience with API test automation and tools (REST Assured, Postman)
- CI/CD integration for automated tests
- BDDs/TDD approaches (Cucumber, Gherkin)
- Performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6)
- Knowledge of design patterns and distributed systems testing
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and AI features in testing
- Excellent communication; bias for action and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers
- Own the quality gates and test criteria in CI/CD pipelines
- Write and maintain automated test suites aligned with feature development
- On the new platform, collaborate with architects and own test strategy and quality
- On the current platform, own test automation, gates, and regression coverage
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions with quality considerations
- Diagnose flaky tests, bottlenecks, and root causes; fix them
- Build and maintain performance/load testing capabilities for critical workflows
- Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test generation and coverage analysis
- Mentor engineers on test automation best practices and testable code design
