Job summary

TikTok is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join the San Jose team." You will lead system testing, design comprehensive test plans, and drive automation across mobile, web, and APIs.

Responsibilities include automating tests, enhancing internal tools/frameworks, and coordinating with global teams to ensure end-to-end quality and scale for TikTok’s services.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering or EE.
• Experience developing AI/LLM based solutions to enhance test effectiveness.
• Proficient in Java, Python, Objective-C, and Golang for project development.
• Strong background in test automation and tool development for mobile, web, and APIs.
• At least 5 years of API testing experience.
• Experience with SDK and mobile client testing across devices/OS versions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full system testing lifecycle: design, analysis, test case creation, and defect tracking.
• Lead project/risk/process management tasks and collaborate with teams.
• Build and extend internal test tools/frameworks to boost team productivity.
