Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Software Development Engineer Intern for the Global E-Commerce-Quality Platform & AI Test Automation, based in Seattle. You will work with developers and cross-functional partners to translate product requirements into effective quality strategies and build automation for functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, learning agility, and collaboration in a fast-moving, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Understanding of software testing fundamentals, networking, databases, algorithms, and system design.
Hands-on coding ability and basic understanding of development and debugging workflows.
Strong execution ability, learning agility, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Work alongside developers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate product requirements into effective quality strategies.
Build and maintain automation solutions for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Participate in requirement reviews and technical design discussions to identify quality risks and improve testability.
Develop reusable tools, scripts, and frameworks that improve engineering efficiency and reduce manual testing effort.
Analyze bottlenecks in quality workflows and help improve testing processes, tools, and platform capabilities.
Support AI testing initiatives, including validating AI-enabled features, improving automated test generation, or using AI-assisted quality workflows to increase testing effectiveness.
