Job summary

Zip Co Limited is seeking an experienced QA automation/SDET to own quality for complex, production systems in a remote-first role primarily in the United States. You’ll partner with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to build comprehensive test strategies, drive root cause analysis, and advance automation across backend APIs and frontend UI.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted testing, CI/CD integration, and a proactive approach to preventing defects in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, QA automation, or SDET roles.
• Strong ability to identify edge cases, failure scenarios, and subtle bugs.
• Deep understanding of unit, integration, E2E, contract, and regression testing.
• Experience building automation frameworks for backend/API and frontend/UI testing.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive test strategies with edge cases and realistic scenarios.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for API and UI testing.
• Drive root cause analysis and contribute to prevention strategies for defects.
• Mentor engineers and raise quality standards across the team.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design and debugging.
