Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Release Engineering team in Cupertino. You will own the design and delivery of large, ambiguous systems end to end and help scale software that deploys OS updates across a vast device fleet.

You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and collaborate with Network Engineering and OS teams to improve reliability and performance of AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, Math, or related field.
• Experience mentoring or leading architecture/design of systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own large-scale distributed services on AWS.
• Build data-intensive software collecting device telemetry and apply ML models.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and infrastructure services.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Redesign infrastructure software for scalable, reliable services.
• Measure success with data and prevent faults from impacting customers.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering to ensure fast software roll-outs and troubleshoot issues.
• Establish best practices, review designs, and mentor engineers.
