Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr SDE for the SFSC Engineering team in Dallas, TX. You will own complex, ambiguous problems end-to-end—from architecture through deployment and operations—and mentor engineers to influence technical direction across teams.

You will help build scalable, highly available services for Amazon's Salesforce deployments, in a collaborative, customer-obsessed environment. The role emphasizes designing, implementing, and guiding architectural decisions while ensuring ongoing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end design, development, test, implementation of complex problems including planning, risk, trade-offs.
• Work with engineers, service and security teams to define and deliver complex features.
• Guide and ensure quality of architectural decisions across products and teams.
• Help establish the long-term success strategy for team-owned systems, development best practices, and operational excellence processes.
• Ensure existing platforms and services remain fully supported while contributing to the creation of next generation solutions.
• Provide technical direction and mentor junior team members.
