Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Arlington, VA seeks a Software Development Engineer for the S3 Request Shaping team. You will contribute to building next-generation services and analyzing trillions of transactions per month.

You will mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and help shape architecture while applying secure engineering practices. This role focuses on learning, collaboration, and delivering reliable systems that delight customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance services using distributed micro-services architectures and machine learning techniques to analyze requests and autonomously mitigate undesired behavior at scale.
• Contribute to key development projects integrating with S3 APIs processing hundreds of trillions of transactions per month.
• Mentor and lead junior teammates through code reviews and design discussions.
