Job summary

Amazon is seeking experienced software engineers to join the Incident Mitigation team, owning design and development of core software components for AWS resilience across data-centers globally.

You will mentor other engineers, deliver high-quality code, and contribute to foundational systems in a fast-moving, startup-like environment within a large company, impacting reliability and cost at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
