What We Do

First American Trust is seeking a motivated Scrum Master with 5-7 years of experience to facilitate scrum events, coach team members, assist Product Owners with backlog management, and enable teams to achieve critical business objectives. The Senior Scrum Master acts as a servant leader and coach within our Lean-Agile Office, helping to implement FA Trust's business agility roadmap, scale and mature agility, deliver value, and meet customer outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  1. Facilitate effective scrum events including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  2. Track and report relevant metrics to monitor team progress and velocity.
  3. Identify, understand, and remove impediments; drive process improvements.
  4. Assist Product Owners in managing customer expectations and stakeholder communication.
  5. Act as a liaison to minimize interruptions during sprints and keep the team focused.
  6. Create a safe, trusting environment encouraging problem-solving without fear of blame.
  7. Represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and ART Sync meetings.
  8. Support team preparation and guidance during PI Planning.
  9. Coach the team and Product Owner on agile practices to improve flow and scaling.
  10. Work outside normal hours as needed based on business requirements.

What You'll Bring:

  1. Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and servant leadership skills.
  2. Ability to develop and coach high-performing software development teams.
  3. Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Experience working on Scrum teams developing digital products.
  5. Skills in issue resolution, retrospectives, and using agile tools like JIRA.
  6. Excellent communication skills for team coordination and progress tracking.
  7. Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related fields.
  8. 5-7 years of Scrum experience and CSM certification.
  9. Experience training and mentoring Scrum teams; SAFe certification is a plus.

Pay Range: $109,700 - $146,200 annually

This range is an estimate; actual pay depends on various factors including experience and location.
