What We Do

First American Trust is seeking a motivated Scrum Master with 5-7 years of experience to facilitate scrum events, coach team members, assist Product Owners with backlog management, and enable teams to meet critical business objectives. The Senior Scrum Master acts as a servant leader and coach, helping to implement FA Trust's business agility roadmap to scale and mature agility, deliver value, and achieve customer outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  1. Drive effective scrum events including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  2. Track and report relevant metrics to demonstrate team progress and velocity.
  3. Identify and resolve impediments, driving improvements to optimize team workflows.
  4. Assist the Product Owner in managing customer expectations and stakeholder communications.
  5. Act as a liaison to minimize interruptions during sprints, ensuring focus on delivering quality products on time.
  6. Foster a safe, trusting team environment encouraging open problem-solving.
  7. Represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and ART Sync meetings.
  8. Prepare the team for PI Planning and guide during the event to ensure completion of tasks.
  9. Coach the team and Product Owner on agile practices to improve flow and scale.
  10. Work outside normal hours as needed based on business requirements.

What You'll Bring:

  1. Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  2. Skills in servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, and transparency.
  3. Ability to build, develop, and coach high-performing software development teams.
  4. Capability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
  5. Experience on Scrum teams developing digital products.
  6. Proven issue identification, escalation, and resolution skills.
  7. Ability to lead retrospectives and guide best practices.
  8. Proficiency with JIRA or similar agile tools.
  9. Excellent communication skills for team coordination and progress tracking.
  10. Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related fields.
  11. 5-7 years of Scrum experience.
  12. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required.
  13. Experience in training, mentoring, and coaching Scrum teams.
  14. Adaptability in cross-functional environments.
  15. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience or certifications are a plus.

Pay Range: $109,700 - $146,200 annually. Compensation depends on factors like experience, skills, and location.
