What We Do

First American Trust is seeking a motivated Scrum Master with 5-7 years of experience to facilitate scrum events, coach team members, assist Product Owners with backlog management, and enable teams to deliver critical business objectives. The Senior Scrum Master acts as a servant leader and coach, helping to implement FA Trust's business agility roadmap to scale and mature agility, deliver value, and achieve customer outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive effective scrum events including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Track and share metrics and reports to monitor team progress and velocity.
  • Identify, understand, and resolve impediments; promote improvements to optimize team performance.
  • Assist Product Owners in managing customer expectations and stakeholder communications.
  • Act as a liaison to minimize interruptions and keep the team focused on delivering quality products on time.
  • Foster a safe and trusting environment where problems can be raised openly, emphasizing problem-solving.
  • Represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and ART Sync meetings.
  • Help prepare for PI Planning and guide the team during the event to complete all tasks.
  • Coach the team and Product Owner on agile practices to improve flow and scale effectively.
  • Work outside normal hours as needed based on business requirements.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Skilled in servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, and transparency.
  • Proven ability to develop and coach high-performing software development teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities without compromising quality.
  • Experience on Scrum teams developing software or digital products.
  • Strong issue identification, escalation, and resolution skills.
  • Ability to lead retrospectives and guide best practices.
  • Knowledge of JIRA or similar agile tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for team coordination and progress tracking.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related fields.
  • 5-7 years of Scrum experience.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and coaching Scrum teams.
  • Flexible in a cross-functional environment.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience or certifications are a plus.

Pay Range: $109,700 - $146,200 annually. Compensation depends on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
