Job summary

Genentech, a member of the Roche group, is seeking a highly motivated scientist to lead MoA characterization for stem cell-derived and CAR T cell therapies. The role is bench-heavy, focusing on cell culture, differentiation and a range of analytical assays to advance transformative cell therapies.

The candidate will develop and optimize assays (flow cytometry, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA), document SOPs, and communicate data to cross-functional teams within a regulatory framework.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with significant bench experience in cell biology and cell therapy contexts.
• Hands-on bench scientist with extensive culture, differentiation and analysis experience.
• Proficiency in flow cytometry, molecular assays and immunoassays.

Responsibilities

• Lead MoA characterization for stem cell-derived and CAR T cell products.
• Conduct cell culture, differentiation and functional assays at bench.
• Develop and optimize analytical assays (flow cytometry, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA).
• Document data, SOPs and present results to cross-functional teams.
• Support assay development within CMC/regulatory framework and ICH guidelines.
