Genentech’s Analytical Development & Quality Control (ADQC) team is expanding to advance cell therapies. We seek a scientist to define and interrogate MoA for stem cell-derived and CAR T products, with bench work in cell culture, differentiation and flow cytometry.
Responsibilities include assay development, data documentation, SOP drafting, and regulatory support within a CMC framework. PhD or Master’s with 3+ years’ experience required.
Genentech’s Analytical Development & Quality Control (ADQC) team is expanding. As a core division within Genentech’s Pharma Technical Cell & Gene Therapy organization, we ensure the safety, efficacy and quality of cell therapies. ADQC develops, validates and executes advanced physiochemical, immunochemical and biological testing methods for clinical and commercial release.
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to define and interrogate the mechanism of action for stem cell-derived and CAR T cell therapy products. You will possess deep hands‑on expertise in cell culture and differentiation, functional assays, and analytical assays—including flow cytometry and molecular techniques—to drive the development of transformative cell therapies.
Relocation benefits are not being offered for this role.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $104,700 - 194,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
