Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG) is seeking a chemist with knowledge of sealant/coating formulations across reactive, one-component systems and butyl technologies to drive new developmental projects and support operations.

This role will advance projects with guidance from senior leadership, communicate updates to stakeholders, and demonstrate collaboration and accountability to drive results, including occasional travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or polymer science.
• 4+ years' experience in at least 3 of the listed areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise research projects that deliver business results.
• Lead multiple project activities through a defined product development process.
• Oversee the design of experiments to evaluate and optimize performance attributes.
• Understand process capability and structure‑property relationships for developed products.
• Document responsible technical and experimental activities.
• Present work and subject matter cross-functionally to stakeholders.
• Explore conceptual ideas to prove or disprove concepts.
• Travel as required up to 10%.
