Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG), part of RPM International Inc., seeks an experienced researcher to lead development projects in sealants and coatings, focusing on reactive, one-component systems and butyl technologies.

The role advances projects under senior leadership guidance, communicates updates, and drives decisions in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or polymer science.
• 4+ years' experience in at least 3 of the listed areas: reactive chemistries, formulation & new product development, adhesives/sealants, technical services and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise research projects that deliver business results.
• Lead multiple project activities through a defined product development process.
• Oversee the design of experiments to evaluate and optimize performance attributes.
• Understand process capability, design criteria, and structure–property relationships for developed products.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical and experimental activities.
• Present work to stakeholders cross-functionally to facilitate discussion.
• Explore ideas to prove or disprove concepts.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
