Job summary

Glyphic Biotechnologies seeks a Scientist or Senior Scientist to lead library prep for its single-molecule protein sequencing platform in Berkeley, CA. You will own library preparation end-to-end and optimize readout through sequencing, collaborating across chemistry, oligo synthesis, automation, and bioinformatics teams.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with substantial experience in library preparation for sequencing.
• Experience re-engineering library prep for demanding templates (low-input, single-molecule, damaged DNA).
• Deep understanding of enzymatic DNA manipulation and adapter attachment.
• Experience with chemically modified DNA/RNA and secondary structures.

Responsibilities

• Own library prep method development end-to-end for nanopore sequencing.
• Design and test new approaches to improve accuracy and reproducibility.
• Develop on-bead prep and clean-up methods for high-sensitivity sequencing.
• Collaborate with oligo synthesis, assay development, automation, and bioinformatics teams.
• Provide technical guidance and experimental design for junior scientists.
