Job summary

E11 Bio, located in Alameda, California, is seeking an experimental scientist to own the full tissue-to-readout pipeline. The role combines bench work, microscopy, and quantitative analysis to optimize tissue preparation and reagent panels for two target types: synapse identification and barcode epitopes.

You will work with molecular biology, imaging, and computational teams to define quantitative tissue quality standards and drive improvements in morphology and protein readout for whole-brain

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy an assay to evaluate and improve fixation quality and tissue preservation.
• Establish and integrate metrics of molecular readout across tissue conditions.
• Collaborate with in vivo technicians to design experiments, evaluate results, and optimize SOPs.
• Drive data-analysis pipelines to generate key tissue-quality indicators.
• Develop binder design/discovery and epitope-binder optimization in hydrogels to improve readout.
• Develop novel multiplexed protein readout strategies for barcodes and synapse annotation.
