Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Senior Scientist – Manufacturing Science to provide technical support for reliable manufacture of the API External Manufacturing portfolio. You will execute projects to improve process control, yield, and purity, and conduct experiments at laboratory scale to troubleshoot and optimize products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry.
3+ years of relevant industrial experience in API Manufacturing, TS/MS, QA, or Development.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Execute experiments at lab scale to improve process control, yield, and purity.
Independently set up and run various chemical reactions.
Document and analyze data; justify the validation state with data.
Prepare technical documents: reports, change controls, deviations, validation protocols.
Support internal and cross-functional process teams and project teams.
