Job summary

Prime Medicine in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist / Senior Engineer to lead LNP process development, formulation, and scale‑up for our gene editing delivery programs.

You will own bench‑to‑GLP/GMP process development, including formulation, process optimization, characterization, scale‑up, and technology transfer to CDMOs, collaborating with Research, Platform, Hematology, and other teams to translate novel modalities into developable drug products.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a related field with 8+ years in LNP process development.
• MS with 12+ years in LNP formulation and scale‑up.
• Strong expertise in LNP formulation and characterization methods.
• Experience with DoE and QbD methodologies.
• Experience transferring processes to GMP facilities or CDMOs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, and optimization of LNP processes from bench to GLP/GMP scale.
• Serve as SME for LNP process development across programs and teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and materials to improve delivery and product quality.
• Support tech transfer to CDMOs and on‑site execution.
• Contribute to CMC sections of regulatory filings and responses.
• Maintain documentation via ELNs and generate development reports and SOPs.
• Communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
