Job summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Scientist III for a 24+ month contract in Ridgefield, CT. The role focuses on initiating and completing routine in vitro studies, and designing non-routine cell-based assays within drug discovery programs.

The candidate will apply molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, RT-PCR, Western blot, and ELISA, and will maintain electronic lab notebooks with integrity. A weekend commitment is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 3+ years in a related scientific discipline or Bachelor's with 7+ years.
• Pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO experience desired.
• Experience with aseptic mammalian culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and complete routine in vitro studies independently and interpret outcomes.
• Design non-routine cell-based in vitro and biochemical assays per literature.
• Perform literature searches and extract relevant information.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment.
• Propose new experiments based on drug discovery needs.
• Communicate results clearly in protocols and reports.
• Maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks and integrity.
• Comply with regulations and work safely.
