Qualifications

• PhD or Master's in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or related technical discipline with relevant biotech/pharma experience.
• Experience: PhD with 0–3 years in biotech/pharma, or MS with 8+ years.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform LC-MS analyses of AbbVie's biologics to provide sequence verification and modification profiles.
• Independently perform separation methods and biophysical methods to support characterization studies.
• Design and execute experiments for method development and investigations.
• Generate and communicate precise, reliable, and reproducible data in a timely manner.
• Organize and document experiments and results in an electronic lab notebook; author and review protocols and reports.
• Represent the Analytical Development department in cross-functional teams as characterization lead.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate services/PMs.
• Demonstrate scientific initiative and creativity in R&D activities.
• Be highly autonomous and productive in lab work with minimal supervision.
• Direct mentorship of junior scientists in the lab.
