Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist I in the Analytical Development Department at AbbVie Bioresearch Center, Worcester, MA. The role focuses on developing analytical methods such as HPLC and capillary electrophoresis to support biopharmaceutical development from discovery through clinical stages.

You will transfer in-process controls, support QC testing at GMP labs, mentor teammates, and contribute to regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with significant experience in biochemistry/analytical science.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of regulatory materials.
• Thorough understanding of own scientific discipline and lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and apply capillary electrophoresis and HPLC methods for biological process development.
• Develop and transfer in-process control methods to QC.
• Provide technical support to QC testing at GMP labs.
• Publish research and present at conferences.
• Identify and pursue literature-informed analytical innovations.
