Job summary

Responsibilities

design, optimize, and operate scalable protein expression, purification, and quality-control processes supporting multiple discovery programs; oversee automation, liquid handling, and analytical instrumentation; develop workflows to support 60+ plates weekly; collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production with project priorities; lead troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and staff mentoring.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 7+ years, Master's with 5+ years, or Ph.D. with 2+ years in bioengineering, biochemistry, or related field; extensive hands-on experience with transient mammalian expression (HEK293, CHO), protein purification, automation platforms, and analytical methods; proven success managing large-scale, high-throughput operations; strong leadership, project management, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

automation scripting experience (e.g., Hamilton, Tecan), programming in Python/R, familiarity with lab automation orchestration software, and exposure to machine learning-guided discovery.
