MSD is seeking a Senior Scientist to help realize a vision of data-rich, connected laboratory environments that accelerate pharmaceutical development. You will work across automation, IT, and R&D teams to deploy digital tools that enhance chemistry, manufacturing, and controls activities for small molecule, biologics, and vaccines programs.

The role emphasizes building scalable workflows, data integration, and collaboration with scientists to enable automated laboratories and AI-ready data

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Physics, Biology, Pharma or closely related field with graduation by Dec 2026 (PhD) or with 2+ (MS) / 4+ (BS) years of related experience.
• Proficient in Python and/or R; comfortable with Jupyter, RStudio, or VS Code.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deploy digital and data-rich technologies to improve Process, Product, and Analytical understanding.
• Integrate laboratory automation with data pipelines and visualization tools.
• Lead high-impact projects from concept to deployment across cross-functional teams.
• Advance FAIR and AI-ready data ecosystems to accelerate research and decision making.
• Support scientists with hands-on troubleshooting and training on new digital tools.
