Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Scientist to support the Cell Therapy QC analytical science and technology portfolio. The role emphasizes hands-on bioassay work, data analysis, and robust problem-solving to optimize methods and support regulatory submissions.

You will work with cross-functional teams, mentor others, and contribute to method transfer and validation in a regulated environment. This position offers opportunities to advance science in a global biopharma setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 8 years, Master + 4 years or PhD + 2 years in relevant scientific discipline or equivalent is required. Advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant analytical experience in a regulated environment (GMP) or cellular therapy.
• Bioassay: cell-based potency, reporter gene assays and cell counting; experience with viral vectors is a plus.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with standard techniques and instrument operation.
• Experience in analytical method lifecycle, including transfer, validation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for bioassay methods used for cell therapy drug products.
• Provide bioassay expertise for potency assays, cell counting, and related QC investigations.
• Design and independently execute experiments with controls, data analysis, and conclusions.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to develop and optimize lab methods.
• Present findings and support technical reports and regulatory submissions.
