Job summary
AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist I in San Francisco to lead hands-on CHO cell line development for recombinant antibodies and biologics.
You will design and test vector constructs, engineer host cells, and drive transfection, clone-generation, and titer improvements with minimal supervision. Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD with relevant biology background and 8–10 years (BS/MS) or PhD with no minimum years preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to design proper experimental controls and interpret data.
- Experience independently analyzing data and communicating conclusions.
Responsibilities
- Conceive designs to improve CHO expression across vector and host cells.
- Design and test vector constructs in recombinant CHO cell lines; perform transfections and clone characterizations.
- Perform transfection, CHO culture, DNA copy number, RNA expression (ddPCR/RT-qPCR), and mAb titer measurements.
