Job summary

Specialist Staffing Group is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to support discovery research programs focused on Cardiovascular-Renal-Metabolic diseases. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Ridgefield, Connecticut, requiring 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell biology.
Experience executing cell-based assays and NGS workflows.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and analyze cell-based experiments to support target validation and discovery research.
Operate and monitor established laboratory automation workflows for cell-based and molecular assays.
Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
Perform tissue, cell, and nuclei dissociation and conduct NGS workflows (bulk RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, snRNA-seq) including library prep and QC.
Maintain documentation of samples, reagents, consumables, and experimental metadata.
