Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Scheduling Senior Coordinator who provides non-medical support to patients, clinical teams, and the organization. You will ensure accurate appointments, registrations, and scheduling across multiple service lines, and assist with pre-authorization and financial counseling when needed.

Proficiency with EMR systems (Cadence, Optime, Aria) and strong communication skills are essential to deliver high-quality service and coordinate care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in patient access or similar field.
• Experience with multiple EMR systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of appointments, surgeries and registrations across service lines.
• Verify accurate demographics and insurance information for billing needs.
• Provide patients, referring providers and staff with clear, up-to-date information on products and services.
• Assist with training and support for new staff and interns when needed.
