Job summary

Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute seeks an experienced Scheduling/Registration professional to maintain department schedules and coordinate daily activities for maximum productivity. You will input patient data, verify insurance, and communicate prep and arrival details to patients in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

The role requires six years in clinical registration or scheduling, with substitutions for education.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology and/or basic anatomy training required.
Six years of experience in clinical registration or scheduling, with substitutions allowed as described.
Substitutions include associate/bachelor degree equivalents for experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain appropriate departmental schedules.
Act as liaison with the Manager and Scheduling/Registration Specialists.
Coordinate daily activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Provide feedback to manager for HR functions such as hiring, coaching, and counseling.
Gather and input patient demographics, insurance verification/authorization, and schedules.
Communicate prep information, arrival time and location to patients.
Input and distribute charge management processes daily.
Maintain regular, punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies.
Ensure compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
