Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Typing speed around 30 wpm or ability to demonstrate competent use of practice management system.
• Knowledge of ICD & CPT coding.

Responsibilities

• Adheres and assures compliance with Orlando Health and department specific policy, procedures, value statements and Commitment to Excellence standards.
• Handle multiple tasks, answer calls, take messages, file lab reports and medical records per policy.
• Performs word processing and spreadsheet data entry.
• Performs charge entry and cash handling.
• Acts as liaison between physician, patient and insurance for referrals and authorizations.
• Maintains punctual attendance in line with policies and federal/state standards.
• Maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
