Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking a seasoned project controls professional to manage schedules, budgets, and earned value across a portfolio of complex projects. You will develop time-phased forecasts, monitor costs, and provide client-ready performance reports.

The role requires strong Primavera and PMIS experience, leadership in project controls, and the ability to collaborate with project teams globally. This on-site position offers opportunities for growth and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with internal procedures such as federal/government regulations.
• Gathers project progress information from project manager and project team members to update and monitor projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Evaluates and updates data regarding schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource requirements, subcontractor commitments and project accruals.
• Reviews schedule progress and productivity of resources.
• Reviews and analyzes detailed schedules submitted by the EPC contractor and vendors and summarizes findings.
• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements as required.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
• Performs performance reporting for a portfolio of projects or programs using Earned Value Management.
• Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on cost/schedule baselines.
• Develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for major projects and/or portfolio of projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports for moderately complex to highly complex projects.
