Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a qualified candidate to join our project controls team in a role responsible for scheduling, cost forecasting, and earned value management across complex projects. You will gather progress data, validate costs, and report on project performance.

Proficiency with Primavera P6 and EcoSys is preferred, along with strong communication and mentoring abilities to guide junior staff. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in project controls or scheduling.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; travel frequency depends on duties.

Responsibilities

• Gathers project progress data from teams to monitor moderately to highly complex projects.
• Develops time-phased cost and resource forecasts; validates costs and updates baselines.
• Produces earned value reports and conducts variance/risk analyses for projects.
• Reviews schedule progress and resource productivity; analyzes contractor/ vendor schedules.
• Mentors junior staff and provides guidance on project planning and controls.
• Ensures compliance with internal procedures and federal/government regulations.
