Job summary

Jobtailor in Houston seeks an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to lead detailed schedules for data center construction, from design through closeout. You will define activities, sequence workflows, estimate durations, and allocate resources to build accurate timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of scheduling experience in data center or mission‑critical construction projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of PMI or AACE scheduling guidelines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage detailed project schedules covering all phases of data center construction, from design through closeout.

• Identify critical paths, milestones, and dependencies to ensure schedules align with owner objectives.
• Track progress against the baseline schedule, preparing reports with earned value, milestone, and variance analyses.
• Identify schedule risks early, assess impacts, and recommend or implement mitigation strategies.
• Perform “what-if” analyses and develop recovery schedules to keep projects on track amid changes.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to align and communicate schedule updates.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier schedules into a cohesive master schedule using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Optimize workflows and resource allocations to enhance efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Document actual versus planned timelines, maintain historical schedule data, and analyze lessons learned for future improvement.

• Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms
• Proven ability to manage complex schedules for large‑scale projects, ensuring alignment with owner objectives
• Knowledge of industry standards such as PMI or AACE scheduling guidelines is preferred
• Strong understanding of construction processes, workflows, and dependencies, with a focus on MEP systems
• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse project teams and stakeholders
