Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Construction Scheduler to develop and analyze schedules using Primavera P6, align them with project scope and contracts, and review contractor baselines for logic and critical path accuracy. You will perform Time Impact Analysis, EVA, and KPI reporting while guiding progress and risk mitigation on major projects.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in scheduling for Owner/GC roles, strong communication, and familiarity with public works or educational facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or a related degree with additional scheduling experience.
  • Minimum six years of full-time professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor
  • Experience supporting public works or educational facility projects preferred
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, latest version
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning abilities
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with project teams
  • Understanding of cost engineering principles, scheduling methodologies, and schedule forensics
  • PMP PSP CCP Primavera P6 Prof Certification OSHA 30-Hr listed as differentiators

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and analyze construction schedules using Primavera P6
  • Ensure schedules align with project scope, contract requirements, and program-level controls
  • Interpret construction drawings and define project scope for scheduling purposes
  • Review contractor baseline schedules for completeness, logic, and critical path accuracy
  • Analyze schedule updates and identify milestone and critical path delays
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of contractor schedule submittals
  • Develop Earned Value curves and perform EVA analysis
  • Monitor construction progress and identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
  • Generate KPI reports, variance reports, and recovery recommendations
  • Conduct Time Impact Analysis using windows analysis methodologies
  • Evaluate contract scope and assess entitlement for time extensions
  • Provide schedule updates to program/master schedules
  • Maintain data integrity through standardized coding, layouts, and reporting
  • Attend project meetings and conduct site visits as needed
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management
  • Work closely with project teams to monitor progress, evaluate schedule performance, and provide schedule analysis, earned value metrics, and reporting
