Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction in California is seeking a qualified Senior Scheduler or Scheduler to join our team. The Senior Scheduler will support Business Development, Preconstruction, Operations, and Legal with project schedules, attend site meetings, and mentor staff in scheduling practices.

Candidates should have 5+ years of field experience in construction, 3+ years Oracle P6, strong Excel and scheduling software skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years field experience with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or 5+ years of progressive equivalent experience in commercial construction.
• 3+ years required in Oracle P6 Professional.
• Able to travel as needed for schedule development, training, and marketing.
• Basic understanding of constructability and baseline planning principles.
• Proficient with cost and resource-loaded schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage and/or create conceptual (RFP), bidding (preconstruction) and final project schedules for marketing, preconstruction, and operations.
• Attend job site meetings and coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, owners to develop schedules.
• Develop standard and custom graphs and charts for site personnel to manage the project.
• Build and maintain a database of activity groups with as-built information for future use.
• Train field and office personnel on scheduling software and Time Impact Analysis.
• Provide guidance to ensure baseline schedule submission is timely, complete, and compliant with procedures.
• Visit job sites quarterly to assist with schedule maintenance and change order management.
• Participate in project reviews to evaluate schedule risk and mitigation.
