Job summary

Balfour Beatty US in Southern California is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager in planning and daily execution of construction projects, manage submittals, coordinate materials, and help ensure schedules and budgets are met.

The role focuses on directing subcontractor compliance, coordinating with architects/engineers and owners, and supporting pre-construction and startup activities to drive project success.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years experience preferred, or 5–6 years progressive construction experience.
• Demonstrates leadership and ability to address challenges and conflicts.
• Creates and manages schedules and assigns tasks based on project priorities.
• Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in planning and daily execution of construction projects.
• Manage submittal approvals and coordination of material deliveries.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets and ensure subcontractor compliance.
