Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage staff and daily operations for scheduling patient surgeries or procedures in a busy medical setting. You will ensure optimal utilization of resources for all surgical procedures and support completion of schedules for next business day.

The role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience, an Associate's Degree or equivalent, and experience in medical office workflows, with strong coordination and communication skills to liaise with

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • General medical office and GI experience preferably but not necessary
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors work to optimize operational service.
  • Reviews, recommends, implements, and monitors approved work-flow changes.
  • Collaborates with hospital departments, offices, and surgical physicians to facilitate efficient scheduling of surgical procedures.
  • Handles complex scheduling issues; recognizes and resolves errors, as necessary.
  • Reviews scheduled surgeries or procedures with management and nursing personnel prior to the production of final operating room or procedural area schedule for next business day.
  • Ensures effective communication of actual and potential schedule changes to admissions, operating room, and recovery room areas.
  • Ensures adequate inventory of supplies.
  • Handle administrative duties, answer phones and order supplies for the unit as required. Performs related duties as required.
