Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a senior DWM Process Control Engineer SCADA to design, develop, install, and maintain watershed SCADA systems. This role supports SCADA activities, break-fix tasks, and documentation while ensuring safety instrumentation and control systems across water and wastewater processes.

The position requires five years of process control experience with leadership capabilities; a Bachelor's degree in CS or BSEE is expected, with a Master's preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or BSEE; five years of process control experience.
• May substitute with equivalent experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Master's degree in CS or MSEE plus 5–8 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, install, and maintain process control systems and equipment.
• Manage and troubleshoot control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.
• Administer related databases and networks; write reports.
• Plan projects, conduct cost analyses, and compare vendors.
• Provide training and project leadership to junior staff.
• Maintain DCS/PLC systems, servers, routers, and switches; implement fixes.
• Oversee contractor SCADA projects and develop specifications and scopes.
• Assist operations with SCADA data reports to evaluate plant performance.
