Job summary

INS Engineering seeks a Lead SCADA Engineer to design, program and commission substation and plant SCADA interfaces across multiple US projects. You’ll own testing, troubleshooting, QA/QC, and coordinate with utility engineers to ensure successful integration.

You’ll help grow INS’s in-house SCADA capability, mentor junior engineers, and work in a remote-friendly environment with opportunities for cross-project collaboration and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Recent hands-on experience in both substation and plant SCADA, including design, configuration, integration, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with RTAC/RTU and HMI platforms (SEL or comparable).
• Hands-on troubleshooting of DNP3, IEC 61850/SCL, Modbus and utility communications.

Responsibilities

• Design and program SCADA interfaces for substation and plant deployments.
• Lead FAT/SAT, end-to-end testing and project commissioning.
• Coordinate with utility engineers, project managers and global delivery teams.
• Mentor SCADA engineers and contribute to technical scope and methods.
