Job summary
Invenergy is looking for a Principal Engineer to manage SCADA systems for energy storage projects in Decatur, Illinois. This role involves technical leadership, overseeing integration for various power generation projects including battery storage and solar technologies.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in SCADA and control systems, project management, and team mentoring. A BS in Electrical Engineering is required, along with strong communication skills and the ability to support multiple projects.

Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience with power generation SCADA and power plant control systems.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own SCADA and controls integration for BESS projects from concept through commissioning.
- Lead technical reviews of vendor submittals and drawings.
- Mentor engineers and managers by driving standards and lessons learned.
