Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer, EPC, to lead SCADA and PPC engineering for the SOLV OTS SCADA solution on utility-scale PV and BESS projects. The role can be fully remote or hybrid, with in-office presence in Bend, OR.

You will own end-to-end PPC implementation, develop design standards, mentor engineers, and ensure project delivery with a focus on reliability and compliance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy preferred.
• 6–8 years in engineering with renewable energy exposure and SCADA experience.
• Proficient in C, C++, Java, Python or IEC 61131-3 Structured Text.
• Ignition SCADA or equivalent experience on industrial projects.
• Strong Windows server, database, and SCADA application knowledge.
• Experience with PLC hardware environments and network design.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and commissioning of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale projects.
• Define SCADA design standards and best practices aligned with company goals.
• Own end-to-end PPC implementation, including programming, integration, and testing.
• Produce SAT reports, narratives, device lists, and training materials.
• Provide expert technical support for SCADA configurations.
• Mentor junior engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Drive standardization to reduce commissioning effort and improve consistency.
• Coordinate with customers and field teams for on-site commissioning and support.
• Deliver regular status updates and risk assessments for projects.
• Ensure NERC compliance and governance in programming and documentation.
