Job summary

SOLV Energy in the United States is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer to lead SCADA and PPC workstreams for utility-scale PV and battery storage projects. The role supports both remote and hybrid work models, with on-site collaboration in Bend, OR and other locations as needed.

You will drive SCADA design, programming, testing, and documentation, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with NERC and SOLV standards while improving system reliability across projects.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering.
• 6‑8 years of engineering experience with renewables; SCADA experience required.
• Proficiency in programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, IEC 61131‑3 Structured Text.
• Experience with Ignition or equivalent SCADA platform.
• Knowledge of PLCs advantages: RTAC, Allen-Bradley, GE/Emerson platforms.
• Familiarity with Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and commissioning of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
• Define and implement SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Own end-to-end PPC implementation including programming, integration, and testing to meet ISO and utility requirements.
• Generate and maintain project documentation (SAT reports, plant narratives, device lists).
• Provide expert technical support for SCADA configurations and escalate complex PPC/SCADA issues.
