Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a SCADA Engineer III – Critical Infrastructure to design, develop, and support SCADA systems across mission-critical projects. This role focuses on system design, development, integration, and execution under STC standards, with remote work and occasional on-site engagements for FAT, IST, commissioning, and high-risk troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred; equivalent combination considered.
• 4–6 years of SCADA design/development experience in mission-critical environments.
• Experience with major SCADA platforms such as Ignition, AVEVA/Wonderware, WinCC, or FactoryTalk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SCADA systems per project requirements and STC standards.
• Coordinate SCADA engineering efforts with PMs, engineers, field leadership, and commissioning teams.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and contribute to internal standards and best practices.
• Complete tasks on time and within budget; assist with FAT, IST, and commissioning activities.
• Perform peer reviews and troubleshoot during commissioning and live system cutovers.
