Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting is seeking a SCADA Engineer II to support development and commissioning of SCADA systems for mission-critical infrastructure. You will work on remote-first projects with intentional on-site exposure for learning system behavior, commissioning workflows, and field execution before taking on more independent development responsibilities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior engineers, participation in FAT/IST, and growth toward increased ownership over time.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience supporting or developing SCADA or control systems in industrial, utility, or infrastructure environments.
• Foundational understanding of SCADA concepts, control systems, and system integration.
• Willingness to travel periodically for learning-focused field exposure.

Responsibilities

• Support development and configuration of SCADA systems per project requirements and STC standards.
• Implement HMI graphics, alarms, data models, and system logic based on design intent.
• Assist in developing SCADA scripts, templates, and reusable components under guidance.
• Translate sequences of operation into functional SCADA configurations and perform testing/validation.
• Participate in FAT, IST, commissioning activities remotely and on-site.
• Document observations and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
