Focus, a systems integration and engineering services company, seeks a Control Systems Engineer to design and develop automation for gas distribution and water treatment. You will program PIL controllers, PLCs, and SCADA, optimize control strategies, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include system analysis, integration of sensors and meters, documentation, and collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years as Control Systems Engineer or equivalent oil & gas experience.
• Experience with PIL, gas and/or municipal water systems.
• Solid understanding of PIL-based systems, PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA.
• Experience with flow control, pressure monitoring and level sensing.
• RTUs and SCADA integration experience.
• Cybersecurity best practices for critical infrastructure control systems.
• Detail-oriented, able to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop control and automation systems for gas distribution and water treatment processes.
• Analyze system requirements and design control system architecture.
• Program, test, and maintain PIL controllers, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Optimize control strategies for pressure, flow, and tank/pipeline level control.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, meters and analyzers used in gas and water systems.
• Ensure compliance with municipal codes, environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of system designs, modifications and performance evaluations.
• Support maintenance and upgrades of existing control systems at municipal plants and gas stations.
• Conduct tests to verify system functionality and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to integrate control systems into larger projects.
